We were delighted to welcome the Ofgem Senior Management Team to Biaco on 27 September 2025.
Led by Chairman Mark McAllister and CEO Jonathan Brearley, Ofgem was given a presentation on Biaco's system and joined us to explore the potential of the technology and the development programme.
Mark gave his immediate reaction, "It was fascinating to visit Biaco and learn about their prototype technology. As the regulator, we’re committed to fostering innovation and collaborating with suppliers, Distribution Network Operators and Transmission Operators to help small innovators like Biaco bring fresh ideas to market — all for the benefit of consumers. I’m eager to follow Biaco’s journey and see how their work develops".
They were accompanied by Derek Lickorish, Chair of Utilita and former Chair of the Government's Fuel Poverty Advisory Group and also of National Energy Action, who sees the technology as a viable solution for many of the problem areas that his company and the country has on the path to net zero, in parallel, providing warmth and comfort to all parts of society.
We were delighted by the enthusiasm and support we received.
On the same day we had an introductory discussion at Albourne with the energy security and heating teams with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).
