Professor Sasha Roseneil, Vice-Chancellor visits Biaco

Professor Sasha Roseneil, Vice Chancellor and President of the University of Sussex,  brought some of her sustainability team with her to visit Biaco on the 27 August 2025. The University’s Life Science department has helped Biaco greatly over the last two years and the university is a shareholder in Biaco.

Professor Roseneil said how impressed she was to see the technology and was excited that the university was involved at the early stage. She asked to return soon with members from her senior team to discuss further how we plan to use the technology with the University. Also present were some of the scientific , sustainability and business development teams that have been involved with Biaco for three years. Also present were some of the scientific, sustainability and business development teams that have been involved with Biaco for three years: Dr John Turner is working with us almost on a full -time basis and leads theoretical chemistry; Prof Mark Bagley Head of Organic Chemistry at Sussex; Prof Cyril Cruz who has conducted specific ground breaking spectroscopic filming and analysis; Kate Thorpe who heads Business Development; Prof Matt Montgomery Sustainability head and Dr Nourhan Hendawy who is on full-time attachment with Biaco as a PhD plasma scientist.
