Biaco Ranked 13th Worldwide for UK Patent Applications in 2025

The UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) has published its annual patent filing statistics for 2025, including a ranking of the world’s top 50 applicants for UK patent applications.

With 131 new UK patent applications filed during 2025, Biaco ranked 13th overall. This achievement is particularly remarkable given that all but two of these applications were filed during the second half of the year, demonstrating the rapid acceleration of the company’s research, development and intellectual property activities.

Biaco’s position places it ahead of a number of globally recognised organisations, including BAE Systems, Airbus and Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
