Dr Nourhan Hendawy joins the Biaco team
We are pleased to announce that Dr Nourhan Hendawy has joined Biaco as Innovation Technology Lead for Plasma Business Development. This role has emerged from Biaco’s long-standing collaboration with the University of Sussex and reflects our continued commitment to advancing plasma-based innovation. Dr Hendawy has recently been endorsed by the Royal Society of Chemistry as an Exceptional Promise Global Talent in the field of Plasma Physics, recognition of her outstanding contributions to the discipline over more than 11 years.
The rigorous selection process for this award included strong references from eminent experts in the field, including Professor Andy Atkins, Biaco CTO, who works closely with her on the development of our innovative plasma product. As Innovation Technology Lead, Dr Hendawy will:
- Lead the development of Biaco’s chemistry laboratory
- Develop simulation techniques to uncover mechanisms behind our plasma reactor from spectroscopy data
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize the interaction between reactor hardware and plasma chemistry as both are developed side by side
- Contribute to IP strategy and business development to support expansion into new markets and applications
