Following the grant award from Innovate UK we are continuing the work on upgrading the Energy Cell Rig. We will put updates on this news blog as we make progress. From 1st October we started work.

A new electrical system leading to a cell Coefficient of Performance  of > 4.5. The electrical system has been purchased and will be installed and trialled in the first weeks of November.

The cell has been remade with viewing windows to enable us to point a high speed camera at the plasma reaction.

Measurement of performance will be independently verified.

A system will produce the heat necessary for a standard UK house.

Work will be done on material design and increased running tests.

The main work streams are:-

1. Build an improved Energy Cell - design - machining - assembly - trial
2. Build a full rig at Albourne including a new High Voltage System
3. Build a prototype Kitchen unit
4. Measure and Report.
